Rich Frederick

In 2001 Rich Frederick received a BS in Psychology from Kansas State University. With family in the Napa Valley wine industry, Rich came to work a single harvest at Kent Rasmussen winery. Attracted to the challenging physical and mental demands of winemaking and intrigued by the melding of art and science, Rich was swiftly infected with the wine bug.

Wanting to explore wine further, he spent a few years in San Francisco working at wine bars and high end restaurants such as Aqua and Campton Place. His palate expanded, Rich returned to the Napa Valley to pursue a career in winemaking.

When offered the position at Revana, Rich jumped at the opportunity to work at a world-class facility alongside such a renowned winemaker. His easy-going temperament belies a precise, methodical attentiveness that ensures the wines are safely shepherded from fermentation through barrel aging to bottling.
